Best hand of the day continues impressing - Johan wins the Day Two

Johan and Robin just played the most amazing hand and made everyone hold their breath all the way untill the river.

Johan went all in holding a pair of 3’s when Robin called with Jacks. Flop came - KQK. The tension kept rising.A King on the turn. Spectators held their breath as johan started shouting - Ace!Ace!Ace!And he was right. An Ace came on the river. Everyone was amazed.

Just a minute later, Johan got an AQ and knocked Robin out with his Q8.

Champagne is popping as the guys are counting their money and calling their families to tell them about another crazy day at the Malta Poker Tour.

Stay with us tomorrow when we take a break from poker and join the players sightseeing and GoKarting in Malta.

Pushing it to the limits - 4 players left

Boys are really taking this race seriously and still not giving up after more than 14 hours of playing.
Renato Almeida is all-in from UTG and is called by Robin Lacey (UTG+1) and Thomas Wolff (Small Blind). Flop brings AK2 rainbow and Wolff goes all-in with the rest of his chips. Lacey, the chip leader, makes the call and shows JJ. Almeida shows Q4 diamons and is drawing almost dead, while Wolff tables AK for the best hand. Turn and river are dealt but none help the two players that were behind. Thomas rakes the pot and Almeida is busted in 5th for €7,500.

The man with the hat

One of the final table players, Martin Klaeser from Rheinbach, Gemany, has really impressed us with his poker CV. Just turned 21 last year, he couldnt wait to start playing live events. Everything started when he joined the Full Tilt 1 million Challange and cashed out 350 000 euro. That gave him the wind in his back and he started playing more and more. Took part in EPT Dortmund and Aussie million but his big wish was to go to poker paradise - Vegas. This year was his first chance and it was no surprise when he took the bracelet playing the 1500 pot limit OMAHA Hi Lo 8 or better. The main event didnt bring him much as he went out only 20 minutes before the day three but he has no regrets.

Vegas didn’t only bring him fame, thats where he met his girlfriend, Laura, so he says he is very thankful to the city of Sin.” Love you, baby!” - said Martin as he took off from the bar and sat down at the final table trying to concentrate a bit more since he wasn’t very satisfied with the way he was playing during the day.

We wish him all the luck!
